I had lunch with Kima!

I just thought I would share that I had lunch with Kima today! It was my first real life encounter with someone from the BB! Kima is spending the next few days helping her cookbook author friend do a vegan cooking vacation on Denman Island. It is a beautiful island and the weather is supposed to get up to 93 degrees over the next couple of days! That is pretty hot for these parts!

I have to admit that I was a little bit nervous about meeting Kima for the first time, but I felt really comfortable sitting and talking with her. We met at one of my favourite restaurants and then went down to my brother’s coffee shop for some iced coffees. My one hour lunch got stretched out to more than two hours, but it was totally worth it. :D

Kima, I am so glad that I got a chance to meet you. You are a very genuine and sweet person and I’m looking forward to meeting you again in Victoria sometime! Hope you are having a fabulous time eating all that good food!

How fun! I think Emily was the first BBer I ever met. Still haven't met kima, but one of these days... her cooking adventure sounds fun, too.

Oh man, I can't even begin to tell you how jealous I am! :D :D :D I love Maureen SOOOO much! I had the absolute pleasure of having her in my home for almost a week, and I miss her to death. I would love to live near her to be able to hang out and shop and go to lunch together!

And I knew she was going on that trip - I will say I have missed her around the boards too. I'm glad to hear she's having a great time, and I'm glad to hear that you both had a great time together! This board is full of incredible people! :D

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Kima was the first BBer I ever met. I was pretty nervous too, but she turned out to be a wonderful person.

I really enjoyed meeting you too oceanjasper! Gee I am the first intro you and Linda have had to BBers IRL and you still come here! :eek:
It was so nice to be back in the valley. Who knows you may see more of me than you care to in the future!

Isn't it SOOOO much fun meeting friends from the BBs in person! I love that!

I have a wonderful (fairly long!) list of people I've had the pleasure and privilege of meeting, plus another (MUCH, MUCH longer!) list of people I haven't met yet -- BUT WANT TO! :)
