What do you put underneath the legs of your appliances and furniture? Those little rubber cup thingies they sell at the hardware store don't look like they'd be much help, and I don't want to dent up my new flooring. Thanks.

I'm just about to have wood installed in my kitchen. The installers are moving the appliances for me and I'm not sure what, if anything, they'll put under them. As for the furniture, I was told to put felt pads - the stick-on kind - on the bottom of the legs of tables, chairs, etc.
If anyone knows of anything else, I'd sure be interested.
The company that installed our hardwood floors recommended these:

We tried several other types of protectors on our kitchen table and chairs, but finally tried these and they have worked the best.

I'm using the felt ones that stick on and they work great. The only real problem with them is dog hair. I have two dogs and the dog hair seems to collect around the sticky felt things. Not a big deal, I just have to pull it off occasionally.

We use the felt circles, but ours nail into the leg itself - they don't get so dog hairy that way, and there's less chance of the pads coming off.

Our installers sold us these same ones as well. MUCH better than the stick on kind. I've been very happy with them.

Do you know the brand name of the nail-in kind?
