FIERY, yes, but really good.
I'm sure they'd have been spicier if I used all of the recommended chili powder it called for (3 tbsp Chimayo powder & 1 tbsp ancho powder:eek: ), but I just ended up using about 3 tablespoons total of Penzey's medium-hot chili powder.
And as they indicate, the salsa is a good contrast to the turkey.

I also gave this a "thumbs-up" this weekend! I used pounded chicken breasts instead of turkey fillets. The mango salsa really adds to the chicken and is also great with tortilla chips the next day (I doubled the recipe). I served the Lemon Southwest Rice with it and the rice was a big hit also! Not a huge lemon flavor - just a hint. Loved the leeks and cilantro in it. Also made the Red Cabbage and Spinach Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette. The dressing in this is great, but we found the red cabbage alittle harsh. Next time I will either thinly slice it or use angel hair coleslaw with it. We liked the spinach with the dressing. The entire meal was great and I will certainly make it again. Topped it off with the Apple Pie a la Mode Parfaits - YUMMY!

I agree, this was a winner. Sort of time consumming, but well worth it. I also had the Lemon Southwest Rice and I had 7/04's Citrus-Spiked Jicama and Carrot Slaw. Lots of chopping, but there are enough for leftovers for tonight:D I followed the recipes on all of them and my Fillets were not too "fiery", just a nice kick. An excellent meal.

I made this last night and we really liked it. I halved the recipe and while I love spicy foods I'm always nervous about ruining a dish by making it too spicy. I only used 1 Tbs Chimayo (instead of 1 1/2 T) and I left the hot pepper out of the salsa.
I always love mango salsas and I did add the hot sauce to it. After tasing this dish I was wishing I did put the hot pepper in the salsa because it wasn't too hot at all. It could have used that extra heat. Oh well. It was very tasty.

Gotta find my August copy. So many good things are being mentioned. May have to go buy another copy.

Made this last week, sans the chimayo powder (don't have it, never seen it). I thought they were really good and not too spicy. The mango salsa was what made it for me though. I will probably use that salsa recipe again and again:)
