Hi :)
I just moved out here to San Diego a little over a month ago and have wanted to start something like this but wasn't sure how or with who! I live in Pacific Beach, right beneath La Jolla and I would love to be a part of a San Diego supper club. Please let me know what you guys are thinking.

Hi, I live in Rancho Bernardo and am looking to join a supper
club. I don't mind driving out of North County. I am available
in the evening and weekends. Any plans to meet?

Hi Tai :)

I live in La Jolla just up Fanuel/Cardeno St. I've read about the supper clubs before but the current issue has sparked my interest in one again. I'd be interested in a supper club in our PB/LJ area so we wouldn't have to fight traffic. I'm sure we could find others.

(Sorry -- no cute username or fun drawings!)

Hi Karen,
Next week I am going to email Cheri (she is Baygal1) and ask her what she was thinking about in terms of meeting, etc. I know besides you, me and Cheri, a fourth woman wants to join us and I'm sure there are more. Dolores got lured to the Carlsbad dinner club posts, but maybe she'll want to be in both! Have a great labor day!

I'm also interested in participating in either this club in San Diego or starting another if you think this one is full already. I live in Carmel Mnt. Ranch so if you want to keep it to the coast perhaps we could start one inland? Lisa Jane, anyone else interested, why don't you write me at ps@psreilly.com. Sounds like a lot of fun... Peggy Sue

Hi PSReilly,
I just wanted to say I don't care if we have one big supper club, and I don't mind driving to other areas besides the beaches; I have't been here very long so it will give me an opportunity to see the area :) But please do whatever you want!

Tai--

Like you, I like the idea of traveling to different parts of the city, but completely understand those who want something in their own back yard only. Some folks have sent emails wanting to get together next weekend, so as soon as I know what time will work I'll post a time that we could get together. I'm proposing the Hot Java Cafe in Carmel Mountain because it is quieter and just a better atmosphere for talking than a Starbucks (it also has a great little train table and other toys for anyone who wants to bring kids). One big supper club would be just fine, or two smaller ones would work too. I'm just eager to get going and meet new people, that's all!

that sounds great! I don't know if you were referring to this coming weekend (sept 10-12) or the weekend after but I will be walking in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in LA from the 10-12 soo won't be able to make it; but please don't let that stop you from meeting! i'm excited to get started so I think the sooner everyone meets and starts planning the better. Perhaps you or someone else can just fill me in on what you guys talked about. I look forward to hearing from you!!

Hi! I have been also interested in getting something like this started and when I read the Cooking LIght article it sparked my interests once more. I live in Carmel Mountain Ranch, but wouldn't mind driving(too far). Let me know when you are planning to get together at the Hot Java Cafe and I will be there!

(Okay, its a reply not a new thread!)

Hi all,

I've been watching and I think its great that a club is coming together. Unfortunately, I'm opting out. I'm in a sorority already where I drive 3 times a month to anywhere from Jamul to Escondido(from LJ). If I join anything else, I want to stay near home & off the freeways. Best dishes to your new supper club!!! :) :)

We met this weekend and put together plans for the next few months. Because most of the members are along 1-15, the next two meetings will be held in that area. Several of us are new to San Diego, so it should be a great way to meet new people and get the lay of the land from the San Diego vetrans in our group. We're all really excited, and at this early stage we welcome others. If you think you might be interested, write to me at ps@psreilly.com.
