Has anyone seen this around? And if so, at what store? Here is the link, for those who want to see what I'm referring to: http://www.cspinet.org/nah/9_00/rsvfp.htm
Looks like something I may want to try.

I live on these crackers. You can buy them at the grocery store in the cracker aisle and I know they carry them at Trader Joe's as well(I am in California). These crackers have more fiber than any others that I have found, and I really like them. I eat them with some cream cheese spread on top for a snack with a cup of tea. They are really cheap too, only about $1 and some change. Good luck finding them.
I just took a gander at the link you provided and I should say that I eat the crackers, but recently, I have seen the flatbread that they show on the website. Try a place like Whole Foods market as well.

I've also seen them at Fresh Fields/Whole Foods (but they're cheaper at Trader Joe's). They are so good!

I'm in Pennsylvania...so no Trader Joe's...any other grocery chains where I may find them?

There is a phone number for the company listed at the bottom of the article. If you call them, you can ask them where they have distribution in your area. They'll probably ask for your zip code. I subscribe to this publication, but I don't remember reading about this stuff....sounds totally interesting - I'm going to have to be on the lookout for this now too!!

I don't know about the exact cracker you are referring to, but we have Ak Mak at our Safeway and King Soopers(Kroger) --just your basic chain supermarket.

Grace,
I called the phone number listed, and the owner of the company answered! Boy was I surprised...had a nice, long chat with him and unfortunately, the product is probably not sold locally for me. However, he is sending me a sample and order forms, which I was thrilled about. The Nutrition Newsletter is really great, isn't it? I wrote down lots of other products I want to try!

I checked the link.
Whoa. This is going on the shopping list.
Gabby, can you tell us more about the newsletter?

makedah,
I don't subscribe to the Newsletter anymore...but it is full of valuable information. Many of the articles are now on-line. I think it is time for me to re-subscribe.

Makedah, it's the Nutrition Action Newsletter, published by the CSPI (Center for Science in the Public Interest). They are the watchdog group that you hear about all the time. They did the exposes on movie theatre popcorn, Kung Pao chicken in restaurants, and recently, they were on Dateline or one of those shows talking about how terrible mall food court food is. I have been subscribing to it for years and years, and it is always full of straightforward, truthful information. No hype, no advertising, and no connection to anyone (drug companies, etc.). They give you the real scoop on stuff like Olestra (which isn't good) and Splenda (which is fine). Plus there are recipes, and the back page is always dedicated to one "thumbs up" product and one "thumbs down" product (which they call "food porn"). I've learned so much from that one little newsletter. I wouldn't even think of cancelling that one! Well worth the subscription price, in my estimation.

Yummy! I love Akmak crackers. I buy them at Jewel (large grocery chain) and Sunset (small, upscale grocery stores) in northern Illinois. They're also available at Whole Foods. They're delicious with salsa!

Thanks Grace,
I'm spending a lot more on my health these days (well, I'm actually just re-appropriating my old vending machine and fast food budget!) and this newletter seems like a good buy.
