I am in need of a spaghetti salad. IF anyone has a recipe that you wouldn't mind sharing that would be great! T.I.A

Hi Chefandi - not sure you are looking for something like this - but I love it - and it is very easy and probably better to double - I can actually eat the whole thing for lunch - and btw I put the seasoning packet in - I like the Spicy Chicken Ramen Noodle one.
Pasta Salad with Tuna
1 pkg of Ramen noodles (without the seasoning packet)
1 can albacore tuna in water (Drained)
1/2 a can of chopped olives
2-3 plum tomatoes (seeded and chopped)
1/4 cup chopped onion (optional)
1/4 cup carrots (optional)
2 tsp oil (I use Olive now, but back in the day, Vegetable
worked just fine)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cumin
Cook pasta in boiling water for 5-8 minutes. Drain and set aside. In a
large bowl, flake the drained tuna and add the tomatoes, onions, carrots and
olives. Now add the pasta the oil and seasonings and toss.

A very easy one is - cooked spaghetti, various vegees (I use cucumber, tomato and mushrooms) McCormick's salad supreme and italian dressing (I use Good Season's). With the current copyright post - I'm at a loss to who deserves this credit as I'm aware of at least 10 homes that this came out of!

I use the same one that Heeter is refering to. You can really use any veggies that you have on hand, and I chill mine for a while before I serve it. I can't wait for pasta salad weather! Not that I can't make it now but there is something just wrong about staring at snowbanks and eating such a summery item.

There is a wonderful looking Spaghetti salad in the April issue. I don't have the cookpac for April yet, so let me know if you want me to type it out for you. Like I said, it looks REALLY good, and uses spaghetti noodles as the pasta.

grace,
In general, when do the new cook pacs tend to come out? When do you think they should have the April one? My Cooking Light subscription hasn't kicked in yet (even though I subscribed well over a month ago), so I have been downloading the recent cookpacs so that I can refer to them when I hear about a recipe on the BB.
I have to admit the cook pacs are great, even though they are a bit costly for my budget. I am going to be spoiled now, and when I finally start getting the magazine I will have trouble restraining myself from buying them!

Hi Valerie
The new cookpacs come out the first week of the month. So April should be available in a week and a half or so. They're a little inconsistent - sometimes it's ready the first day of the month, sometimes not until the end of the first week. But never later than that. I keep checking the site during the first week, although they do send an e-mail if you're registered there telling you the new cookpac is ready (I'm too impatient to wait for that!).
I already mentioned this in another post, but I'll risk saying it again. I don't spend a lot of money on clothes, makeup, shoes, Starbucks lattes, cigarettes, etc. so as my main hobby, $7 a month isn't really a big expenditure. Just my perspective!

yeah, I kinda agreed with that other post you had. I mean, you are right that they do need to make money somehow. But I don't spend money frivolously either and I still don't know that I can justify it, especially when I have the CL subscription. I'm a newlywed, though, and money is still tight. Someday when we become more established, I'll feel better about it. Thanks for the info!

Just wanted to say that I made the ramen noodle/tuna recipe that Lanie posted earlier. I loved it and am making it again this week. For me, it is an easily packable lunch.
