I don't even remember if we had a thread last week - I've been so incredibly busy. Just one more week of madness...

This week we got:

1 head lettuce
2 bulbs fennel
1 bunch carrots
1 bunch thyme
1 quart yellow pole beans (wax beans?)
1 bunch arugula
1 summer squash

And 2 lbs each peaches, necterines and plums.

We ate 1/2 our beans last night (and finished off the green beans we hadn't been able to use in past weeks). I did Jewel's Garlicky Green Beans with extra wine and chicken broth - cooked it up a little and tossed with pasta - pretty good stuff. I still need to figure out what to do with the fennel and the rest of the stuff.

What did you guys get? You probably live in a part of the country that has been drier, or at least hotter and you're probably all innundated with tomatoes and such. (is there a pouting face?)

Lucky ducks.

We don't have a CSA membership, but I would love to join one. What is the best way to find out about one in my area?

Thanks! :D

Here is our haul for the week:

3 eggplants
Big box of all kinds of tomatoes- finally!
Chives
An entire basil plant (I made a double batch of pesto for the freezer)
Watermelon
10 bell peppers
3 cubanelle peppers
2 red onions
2 heads garlic
1 large bunch kale
A few chard leaves
Collard greens (I left these behind)
Chives
3 summer squash

Bad news- the wet weather here has caused the winter squash crop to develop a fungus. :( Last year we had tons of butternut and spaghetti squashes, but I guess they're pulling out this year's entire crop to prevent the disease from spreading.
