Okay, so in a moment of weakness and desparation I joined WW. The problem with this is that I've done it 2 times before and I never stick with it because I'll have one bad week, get frustrated, say "see, it's a **** diet not a way of life" and go back to eating whatever whenever.

Okay, so now that I have that confession off my chest - I'm going to stick with it....through ups, downs, hills, valleys.....come hell or high water I'm losing this weight and doing it the healthy way.

I've said my peace.

Good for you! I think it's really imporant that you recognize the problem (not sticking with it) and are trying to fix it.

Just remember, every week is a brand new start. Just try your best, and don't dwell on the slip-ups from the week before.

Terri, you are not alone! I've probably joined and "rejoined" 4 times now. The first time I lost about 20, stayed good and was trying to lose about 10 more. Then I changed jobs. Went from a 6 person office where everyone was watching their weight, to a 35 one where there is JUNK everywhere!!

You go girl!! I'm re-committing this week, went last night to hear about the new program. The new Core program sounds a little "low carb" to me, so I think I'll stick with the old Winning Points I was successful with before.

Holler if you have any questions!!

I've been a member now for 11 months. I too have rejoined. I believe this is my 3rd time, but this time, I decided NOT to quit just because of a bad day or even a bad week. I became pregnant last February and even stuck with it through the ordeal of losing the baby. I didn't attend meetings, but stuck with the plan, when returning last May, I had only gained 1.5 pounds. I kind of abandoned the plan in the midst of my grief and depression. Then I decided that gaining back 17 pounds wasn't going to help anything!

Now I'm down about 22 and I really feel much better physically as well as psychologically. I think you have to think "globally". One week DOES NOT discount all the good weeks and all the pounds you've lost up to that point. For some reason, this time I'm able to look at it as a journey, not a quick fix. In fact, I'm having a bit of a struggle these past couple of weeks and although it's frustrating, I know I won't quit. I'll get to the end of this tunnel and keep pluggin' away.

Hope it helps knowing that others have been where you are.

Renée

P.S.
I read somewhere recently that most sucessful "dieters" (for lack of a better word :o ), have tired several times before they became successful.
