I stupidly bought a 5 pound bag of King Arthur Self Rising flour for a recipe that used 2 tablespoons  What the heck was I thinking??? So I know have this flour that I have no idea what to do with. I tried to search for recipes, but haven't really found any. Anybody have any ideas? I don't even care what the recipe is for, I would just like to use this bag up and then be done with it.

TIA!

Hang on... let me look for it here...

Here's a recipe for tiny cheese, onion and olive scones. http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/r_0000000906.asp

Also got these by running a search on King Arthur's site:

I believe you can substitute self-rising for all purpose by just leaving out the baking powder and salt from a recipe. I'm not positive about this, can someone back me up?

Southern biscuits typically use self rising flour -- Food 911 had an episode on them and they looked fabulous - he had some interesting tricks including folding the dough several times while rolling to create quasi layers like puff pastry.

Ummmm, duh. King Arthur's website. Again, duh.

Blazedog- maybe I'll finally put those biscuit cutters to use I registered for!

Thanks Gail!
