View Full Version : Supper club in western Detroit suburb
I recently read about supper clubs in the current issue of Cooking Light and I would love to join an existing club or talk with others about starting one. Are there any groups looking for new members or others interesting in discussing this in the western suburbs of Detroit?
There is a group of 4 of us who meet in the Northwest suburbs of Detroit (from Farmington, Birmingham, and Rochester). I'm pretty new (the groups been meeting for about a year), but I know that we were looking to add a few more people. We meet once a month for dinner at a local restaurant and then we meet once a month for dinner at someone's house. We are all female and range from married, single, kids, to no kids; all in our late 20's to mid 30's. We're a pretty laid back group and pick dates month to month for what works best for everyone. Let me know if you're interested and I'll get you the September dates! :)

There's another group whose members live in Farmington, Plymouth, Hamtramck, Hazel Park, Ann Arbor and Garden City. We meet once/month and have been meeting for two years now. We are a group of only women. We pretty much do a combination: some people bring their dishes fully prepared, some so prep beforehand and we usually make one or two dishes together at the meeting. So far, we have always met on Sundays, usually the second Sunday with the start time ranging anywhere from 2 to 5 p.m.
