What's Going On in Birmingham?

I was reading through the post by Hoosier65 called "Just Curious", I too must ask what is going on in Birmingham? I didn't see any response in that thread?

A while back on this board someone (sorry, not sure who!) mentioned that it would be great to meet all the wonderful people we already "know" on the boards. At one point LisaD (I think) hopped in and offered CL as a meeting place. Here's a thread that could probably explain it better.
