My poor Mom has been suffering from an awful tooth ache all week and is finally going to the dentist today. I want to take something over to her that is tasty yet soft on her poor mouth! Any suggestions???

How about some nice home made pudding? Not too cold, which might bother the tooth. Meatless noodle soup would be nice too.
There are few things worse!! How about some warm applecause?

Split pea soup.
Cream of wheat or cream of rice with maple syrup.
Malted.
Anyone wanna know how I did that? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

What about custard (warm or cold) or some fruit and yogurt smoothies?

When I had my wisdom teeth out these are some things that I made and enjoyed:
Pudding made with soymilk
Frozen yogurt
Creamy zucchini soup
Cream of wheat
Spirutein shakes-especially the chocolate peanut butter flavor
Tofu peanut butter pudding-made with a box of silken tofu, 1/4 cup peanut butter, molasses, cinnamon, and vanilla blended together-yum!
Good luck! -Becca

Phoebe, I peeked, cool! I will have to remember that!
Here is a pierogi lasagna recipe that is very soft, maybe for the weekend...
Lasagna Pierogies
1 pkg lasagna noodles
butter
1 lge onion
garlic
8 servings of instant mashed potatoes
½ to ¾ c velveeta cheese or shredded cheddar
1. Boil 1 pack of lasagna noodles, can be broken in pieces. Drain and place on the counter on wax paper.
2. Saute one onion and garlic with a pat of butter.
3. Make 8 servings of instant potatoes, I think about 2 cups of instant potatoes.
4. Add small cubes of velveeta cheese or cheddar, mix until fairly smooth. I kept it on a low flame to melt and watched carefully.
5. Pam 2 8x8 pans or 1 11x 7? Pan. Layer lasagna noodles, potatoes, onion 3 times ending with onion.
6. Bake 350 for 30 minutes- watch the last 5 minutes or so.
7. Great reheated!!

Melina - this is one of the tricks in the "UBB Code is ON" help. It's something like the bolding or italicizing trick. To make a bulleted list, use the codes in brackets like this (I'm putting underlines around the codes so they'll show up instead of making a list):
[_list_]
[_*_]First item. (That's an asterisk in brackets)
[_*_]Second item.
[_*_]And so on.
[_/list_]
Cute? You can also do an alphabetized list by starting off with "list=A" instead of "list."
Cheers,
Phoebe

Thanks everyone! You gave me great suggestions. I think I'll make some pudding today and may bring over that lasagna on the weekend. Thanks again!
