I'm wanting to hang a wreath on my front door - just your average grapevine wreath with fall-colored accents. Here's my question though - we have a half-moon window at the top of our door. I'd hang the wreath below that window. But I don't know exactly how to hang/fasten the wreath from the door. At Christmas, I have a wreath hanger that is long enough to go below the window at the top of the door and it works fine. But I don't want to use that since the inside of that wreath hanger has a reindeer on it.

Any ideas? Can I use some sort of suction cup type thing? I'd like to avoid using nails if at all possible. ;)

TIA -
Heather

I've seen magnetic wreath hangers at Christmas, but have never used one. I guess one side goes on the outside of the window, and another on the inside. There are suction cups that I've seen for wreaths as well, but again, I have never used these. I'm sure you should be able to find something in a craft store or Target (or similar stores). Most stores are starting to put out their Christmas decorations now. I have a plain wreath holder that I know was very inexpensive, so you could get a new, non-decorative one too.

I have a clear plastic wreath hanger. I probably got it at Michael's(don't remember) but I would think you would find a non-holiday one at any craft store!

Happy hunting.

If your wreath has a wire hanger on the back of it, you can use the 3M products with Command Adhesive. It sticks where you need it, I've used it on my outside door (metal) to hand a wreath and on my inside walls to hang Christmas lights and decorations. Once you are done using it, you simply pull the adhesive and the whole thing comes right off the wall.

Thanks for the advice, everyone.

For now, I've purchased the 3M Command hook and will try it tomorrow to see if it works. My wreath doesn't have a wire on the back, although I do have picture wire that I could attach if I had to.

Next time I'm at Michael's/Hobby Lobby, I'll be looking for a clear plastic wreath hanger so that I can avoid the hook issue ;)

Thanks again!
