Amazon's Recs- what's up with that?

As I am sure you all know I buy quite a few cookbooks (don't tell Bob) from Amazon. The other day I looked at what they recommended for me, something I rarely check. There were many things on the list I would never buy but the funniest was the Fischer Price little people Christmas set. Never bought a child's item from Amazon- why little people, why Xmas??? very strange!:confused: And what do they know about me that I don't???

Something similar is happening to me (not Amazon-related)...recently I've started getting amost daily junk-email from Christian dating services. Not just one service, but multiple.

OK, a)I'm Jewish. And b)I live with my DBF.

The only thing I can think of is that recently I visited the Bush/Cheney '04 website to check it out...maybe I got spammed that way!:p
