I had plans to clean, do my income tax, etc today. I worked this weekend. Anyway, I spent most of this morning and part of this afternoon on this BB and on Mastercook. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed myself but feel a wee bit guilty. Anyone else have this problem?
P.S. I did make it to the grocery store and I'm doing some laundry.

Any one of us WITHOUT that problems has no business being here - lol.

jazzcat---you and I had the exact same weekend planned. But I spent quite a bit of time on Mastercook this weekend, and the boards. I even went to Target looking for MC Ver 6--and couldn't find it.

I did manage to buy me a pair of running shoes though. Great pair of Nike on sale at JCPenney's. As a matter of fact, EVERY pair of athletic shoes were on sale at Penney's.

I even put off doing my income taxes - and I KNOW we have a refund coming to us. Now that's dumb!

Do I have this problem?? Yeah, you could say that. How many times a day do I come on my computer to do my work and find myself responding to all these excellent messages?? Just a few! It's almost like an addiction...to the CL website. We'll have to start our own club: "Hi, my name is Diona and I'm addicted to the CL website..." Anyone else? It might take time to come out of the kitchen for this one (get it?? Ha! I'm so lame, sorry)

That's how I feel at times; I love your sense of humor.

It is so comforting to hear that other people have this problem. As a college student, I always seem to be on this site instead of studying!

I have whined and moaned that this board is way too addicting but I have least done my taxes and found out I owe $3000! Yikes!

The other thing that has been irritating me lately is that whenever I want to make something new, I'm always out of something! Seems no spur of the moment cooking for me... http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/frown.gif

My office computer was down all morning yesterday -- network files corrupted and I had to wait for Humanities Computing to come in with a new install CD. So ... did I bemoan my lost work time? Did I agonize over not being able to respond to the important emails about my committee responsibilities? Did I chafe at not being able to review my course materials? Oh, no. All I could think about was how the messages must be piling up on the CL BB ... AND I WASN'T THERE!!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/frown.gif

Sobbing bitterly as I remember it,
Phoebe

I can really relate as I am supposed to be doing my spring cleaning this month and next so that I will be ready to loll around the pool when it gets warm enough. According the schedule I had made out for myself, I am supposed to be cleaning a guest bathroom today, but where am I? I am enjoying my addiction. If we have to be addicted to something, isn't this the best choice?

karole- doesn't look like you're a junior memeber anymore!!

I am addicted to this board as well. It keeps me going when it's slow at work and the time is dragging. You can usually tell how busy I am by the amount of posts in one day! Bad!!! Very bad!!!

I've been on all afternoon too, but don't feel guilty. Ever since I became a Flylady I found I have alot of free time! http://www.flylady.net/index.asp It's free to join and it changed my life for the better. I actually found out about this from this website.

Ok, just have to ask...What is a flylady? My "browser doesn't support" looking at the website listed. Do tell.

It's a program of routines that you do to get organized, decluttered, and stay that way. I always thought of myself as very organized but I learned some new things! It makes you feel so good and in control.
Maybe you can try http://www.organizedhome.com/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi
You might find some useful info there.
