Cooking Club of America

Has anyone heard of the Cooking Club of America? I just received information in the mail about it. It sounds like you pay $1/month and you occasionally you get to test products (and keep them). It doesn't really say anything about a magazine.

I'd appreciate any information you may have. The information is a bit vague so it makes me wonder if it really has any value!

If you search there are other threads on this. I joined a couple of years ago and while I don't do the testing, I enjoy the magazine that comes with the membership (Cooking Pleasures which is published 6 times a year). I know that there are others on the board that subscribe (some are even lifetime members, I just can't commit that type of money at this point in my life).
