On the Border is fine with me. There is also AppleBee's right next door. The mall has the food court like you say. But AppleBee's or On the Border would be easier.
Can't wait to get started...this should be a lot of fun! My husband and I are pretty new to San Diego (only been here 2 years). So it will be nice to meet new people.
