I can't believe no one is discussing this! :) I knew he would be so mad when he saw the yield had been used. Christie went a little crazy on the driver of her taxi-thing (I forget what they're called). Who watched last night?

D*mn!!! I forgot it was on. Then again, I also went to bed at 8:30. :o I would have recorded it, though.

Can someone fill me in on the highlights? Anyone else eliminated?

I can fill you in... WARNING - SPOILER AHEAD

No one was eliminated. Colin and Christie came in last but only had to surrender their money - they get to go on. Next week is a two hour finale episode. Chip and Kim used the yield on Colin and Christie and C and C are mad about it. They are in Manila right now. I think those are the highlights unless I missed something important. If so, I'm sure someone will come along and add it in....

Did Colin really tell Christie, "I hate you!"? It looked like, from the preview at the end of last week's show, that he was in a bunch of mud or something and frustrated about something and finally blew up at her.

I'll have to remember to set my DVR tonight to record next week's episode, in case I forget that it's on again.

Thanks for the update.

You got the highlights. The only thing I couldn't figure out was why Chip and Kim had to use the yield. Everyone wanted to yield them, so why didn't Chip/Kim let someone else do the dirty work.

Also, it was pretty funny that Colin/Christie couldn't figure out to work as a team with the plow. :)

I'm looking forward to the finale.

I'm not sure whether the "I hate you" was directed at Christie or the Ox :D She didn't seem to take it personal.

As far as I am concerned, Colin and Christie deserve one another, it seems like from the bits that we see that they have a very unhealthy relationship, but she brings her own issues to the table. Unfortunately, I think they are ulitmately going to win. I think Chip and Kim decided to use the yield because they felt they had made a calculated error when they didn't use it on the twins. I think it will come back to haunt them as I am sure someone else will use it on them during the finale.

I know I am in the minority here, but the moms don't bug me the way they seem to do everyone else, but Chip and Kim are still my favorites.

DH was p!ssed at the way Christie kept yelling at the car driver to hit people etc. They got REALLY lucky. You can't blame the other teams. C&C have lead pretty much the whole game, why would they not yield them?

I was ahppy for C&K to win the Hawaii trip :)

I noticed that too - I kept telling her to help guide the ox. After that, I thought they are as meant for each other as they keep saying they are ;)

I was hoping those two would be eliminated last night

They still called each other "babe" even as they were fighting.

Christie to the taxi driver about pedestrians: "It's ok to run them over"

Christie: "Could you stop wandering aimlessly, babe! Could you control that thing a little better, babe. Could you maybe plow in a straight line...babe."

Colin: WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS THING! MY OX IS BROKEN!!! THIS IS BULLS***!!!

I was laughing so hard at his ineptness!!!! And, was very disappointed it was a non-elimination leg  .

I, also, don't think the Moms are so bad...they deserve props for putting that jeep thing together so quickly!!

And, I loooooooooovvvvvve reading the posts at Television without Pity.

That's what I think too. Christie was telling the cab driver "the other people didn't play fair" but if the yield is part of the game then you use it or risk having it used against you! I did think it was funny that the other teams were there at the same time saying "Yield them, yield them"- hope Colin was watching last night!

Am I correct in my understanding that the yield could be used against them again? Each team can use the yield once, but is there a limit to the number of times a team can have it used against them?

I loved "My ox is broken! My OX is BROKEN!" Colin is more than a little scary.

Yes - she seemed like a real b**ch when she was screaming at the cab driver to run people over, didn't she? I was mad that it was a non-elmination.

I was very impressed with the mom who scaled that ladder up to the bridge - I don't think I could have done that. Even though they whine, they (along with Chip and Kim) seem like the most "real" team who is in it for the experience alone, rather than later "fame."

I just hope Colin and Christie don't win - I would be OK with any of the other three teams.

I went to CBS.com

YIELD
Each leg of the race has a YIELD point. Teams must stop at the YIELD location to do two things before continuing along the course: 1) They must check to see if they have been YIELDed by another team; 2) If no Team has been YIELDed, they must decide whether to use the YIELD or not. If a Team is YIELDed, they must turn over the hourglass and wait until all the sand runs out before they may continue with the race. A Team may use the YIELD to stop another Team only once throughout the entire course of the race. However, there is no limit to the number of times that a Team can be YIELDed by the other Teams.

The "my ox is broken" line was hilarious!

And I'm rooting for the Bowling Moms. :)

Cool! Brandon and Nicole or the moms should Yield them again. Just as long as Colin doesn't know where they live once they're all back in the U.S. ;)

Thanks for finding that info, Molli!

I checked C&C's profile. Colin is 24 and Christie is 26. It will be fun to read their After the Race interview :)

You know what? I could deal with any of the other three teams winning also. I like Chip and Kim, and Brandon and Nicole and although I wasn't in love with the bowling moms I was impressed when she (Linda?) scaled that ladder on last night's show! Next week should be fun!

Aggie - I do think Colin was talking to ox when he said, "I hate you!" but it's not outside the realm of possibility that he would say that to Christie!

I too was upset that last night wasn't an elimination round! I wanted Colin and Christy gone! I pretty much second what everyone else has written about the couple. Colin needs some major anger management classes! I was telling DH last night as we were watching that I wish they have/had an epilogue to the show. I'd hope that after Christy sees how Colin treated her that she'd leave him.

I want Chip and Kim to win too now. Brandon and Nicole are getting to me with their whole "the lord will help us" and I was routing for the bowling moms, but I feel like the blonde mom is totally carrying the team.

I was sorely disappointed that C&C weren't eliminated. I guess I kind of knew, though - weren't there supposed to be 4 non-elimination legs? Ah, well. Where would the drama be without those two?

Chip and Kim made a comment yesterday, and I really hope it was left in by the editors as a bit of foreshadowing. Chip said that if the moms could scale the ladder, they were going to win the whole thing. :D Oh, I hope that's the case.

I'm trying to imagine whose celebration I'd want to watch. The bowling moms seem like they'd be so much fun to watch. The models, though? They're beginning to bug me - is God an Amazing Race fan? :p

Speaking of the models, does anyone have the JC Penney ad for this week's sale? I would almost swear that Brandon is in the mens section and maybe, just maybe, Nicole is in the women's, maybe even on the cover with her hair straighter. Has anyone else noticed this?

tbb - I totally agree with you. I would have let someone else Yield them and be the subject of C&C's ire.

I think it was cool of the moms to get that taxi together so quickly. It was really funny that they surpassed everyone with great teamwork. And climbing those rope ladders is so tough! Colin wanting Christie to stop to find a bolt? Give me a break. I definitely saw the ugly side of Christie, and Colin was yelling at the Ox, not her. How could you even think to yell "I hate you" to an Ox. Give me a break. Maybe I would say "Stupid Ox" but to actually hate it? C&C lack some teamwork.

Colin vs. the oc was seriously one of the most hilarious parts of the entire race. I was laughing so hard! And I'm sorry, but Christie was being an idiot....yelling at Colin for not being able to "control" the ox, when she should have been guiding it. Oh well, it made for some good comedy. I was very disappointed that they didn't get eliminated though. :(

Next week should be great! I'm still pulling for Chip and Kim, even though Chip does everything. If Kim was even remotely helpful, I think they would have a better chance, but we shall see...
