DH & I are about to shop for a heavy duty oven proof skillit. Cast iron is a no-brainer...but I'm not convinced that we would be able to keep up w/ the care & feeding of it. Does anyone out there have & use anything other than cast iron & are you happy w/ the results? Brand names, please!

For me it is CALPHALON - nothing else!

I also love my Calphalon but my professional weight copper pan works just as well.

Gotta go with Calphalon too. Although for non-stick I love my LOOK pans.
