My favorite season! But where did Summer do. For that matter where did the year go?
I guess being a senior citizen the months go by like hours to me. Please tell me you younger guys are wondering the same thing.
(Opps, I just realized I put this on the wrong board. I wanted it Other Stuff. Oh well the mind is first to go. At least I think it is, I can't remember.)

I'm a younger one and wonder the same thing! This year seems to be whipping by. As for the summer, I don't think we had one.
I like autumn too. I am looking forward to, as I do every year, experiencing the colors and smells of fall while out riding. It's my favorite time to ride.
Seems like my cooking slump is coming to an end too. I think that has everything to do with the change of seasons.

It still feels like summer here, but the cooler weather is on it's way, and I'm ready.
I'm not one of the younger guys, and being a senior myself-the time just flies by.

How is it the days sometimes drag, but the months fly by?! And as an "almost" senior, it is true the older you get, the faster time goes. By the way, what age is "senior"??

I love fall!! (Whenever it gets here... ) It's supposed to be in the low 90's by Friday again.
Fall for me is SOUP time! I really enjoy cooking up a big vat of it on Sundays and eat off of it the rest of the week. DH isn't into them as much, but I've told him he has to eat it at least once a week. I also like to do the all day meat cooking recipes.....helps keep the house warm.

The Age of a Senior is when you can get a discount. Other than that we haven't reached it yet, Char! ;)

Some of you might not like this, but I make it 55 because that's when you can join AARP!

The first day of Fall and it's over 90 degrees here (by the beach no less!).... Now don't get me wrong, I love warm weather, but not this hot. It's also quite windy/dry.
Summer did fly by though. I can't believe I start school this week. Yikes!

OK - so I have my AARP card, but I still think senior MUST be at least 5 years beyond whatever age I am! :)

Fall is one of my 2 favorite seasons, with spring coming in a close 2nd. I too agree, the year has gone by so fast. I'm middle-aged and still can't believe that there is about 3 months and it will be Christmas!

Just something to think about: Time is relative. One reason that time seems to pass by faster when you are older is because each unit of time passed is a much smaller percentage of the time you have lived.
A year for a 4 year old is a quarter of his or her life (that's a lot!) while for a 50 year old it is only 2% of their life.

I've already gotten a dozen Christmas catalogues in the mail. It seems to get earlier every year.

HOLY CAts!!!!!!!!
I'm so very sorry about the 87!! :( :( :( :(
I think we will stay at 81 and then slowly get into the 70s..at least for awhile.
I'll be wishing and hoping be both get hit with an early snowfall :)

Yep, 88º here today, so Autumn hasn't shown up here yet either.
Yesterday it was about 86º and I was making risotto - not exactly a hot weather kind of dish, but I wanted it, darn it. I keep putting all these fall-type meals on my menu only to have it get too warm to make any of them. Oh well, maybe next week.
On the plus side it makes sitting out on the patio in the evenings very enjoyable indeed. Better yet, it's been very dry, so no mosquitoes! :)
I'm ready for cool weather, but I'll enjoy the extended summer as long as I can. We'll all be shut inside soon enough, wishing for spring (except Ana :D :p ) so may as well get out and enjoy it now. :)

Hi, Dotti,
Just wanted to chime in that I am totally in sync with your thoughts about Autumn coming too soon. And since I am turning 55 this month (Yikes!!!! )it seems like time is flying by.
Where BTW do you live in Central NJ (I live in Medford.)?
