Hi, again!

We're going to Walt Disney World in May, and will be renting a condo with a full kitchen. We'd like to try to keep the eating out to a minimum, so I'm trying to set up a menu for the week. My problem is that since this is a rental I'm not sure what kind of (kitchen) tools I'll be working with. I don't want to buy a whole bunch of things that we'll have to throw out at the end of the week - condiments, sauces, etc. (since we'll be flying home) - so I'm looking for simple, easy to prepare dishes.

Do any of you have suggestions on what to make and/or take? If you cook while traveling how do you handle it? Do you take your own spices? Knives?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Shirley, we have a time share and have used it twice. Both kitchens had quite an array of utensils so you'll probably be able to make just about any dish (within reason). Breakfasts are pretty easy - pancake mix, eggs, French toast. Making dinner is where we had to think more because we're so frugal and didn't want to throw anything away. The second trip we did almost exclusively crock pot meals. They were great to put in in the morning and come back around 6 to eat. You could do a search for crock pot meals. None of ours were exceptional (That's because I wasn't on the BB yet http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif)I took spices packaged in baggies for the amount I would need for certain dishes. Both our condos had Salt and Pepper, knives, cutting board, etc. If you're going to be at Disney World all day the crock pot idea might not be so useful. Of course we did a lot of sandwiches. Jelly can be for sandwiches and toast. Ham and cheese in an omelette and sandwiches. Hope this helps!
