Since it seems we've lost TMIWTB for at least the time being, I was wondering if anyone else out here in CL Land is doing the 6 Week Body Makeover. I've been doing it since July and have lost over 25 pounds. I've never had such success with a plan in my entire life. I love this plan!
I'd love to chat it up with anyone else on the plan.
Anyone? Anyone?

Hi All,
Here is some information. Let me know if you have any questions.
The 6 Week Body Makeover is a plan developed by Michael Thurmond. (You may have seen him as the weight loss guru on the show Extreme Makeover.) His program is a series of video tapes, cassette tapes, CD's, exercise bands and the infamous Black Book that tells you how/when to eat and why. You start by testing to see what body/metabolism type you are, A-E. You also blueprint your body and band exercises are prescribed based on your blueprint. The plan itself is 3 things: what you eat, your sculpting routine and your cardio routine.
Sample menu for type B (my body type):
BR: protein, fruit
AM Snack: protein, fruit
Lunch: protein, carb, veggies
PM Snack: protein, carb
Dnner: protein, carb, veggies
Snack: fruit
It is pretty simple to follow. No salt, sugar, dairy, which means you really stay away from prepared/processed foods. You are restricted like this as long as you are in the "reduction" (loss) phase. There are 3 different maintenance plans.
It is definitely restrictive, but the results speak for themselves. I think it is a sound plan.
You can order the program from www.provida.com. It is also available on HSN.com for $119 with free shipping. (That's where I got it from.)In my opinion their infomercial is a bit misleading as it says "Eat more, exercise less." Well, I do eat more *often*. If I exercised as much as they tell you to, I'd definitely be exercising more. But it is working well without the 5 days of cardio they's like you to do.
Also, their online community is fabulous. I hooked up with a "non-cheating" group and it has been great.
I am now within a pound or 2 of 30 pounds lost, yay!
If you have any specific questions, just ask.

I've seen it/him on HSN many times. They also did the program on some of the Extreme Makeover shows, so it has been known to work. Congrats on your success buffygirl.

Kim...I ordered the program and received it and never did anything with it. It seemed to restricted and confusing to me. I think I was the B body type. I wanted to try it cause I heard great things on it plus he is an awesome workout/program director, even helped with extreme makeovers.
