Another question for you guys... I have a huge spaghetti squash I intend to cut in half and bake tonight (to use with Alysha's sauce!). Anyway, any suggestions on what to do with the other half? Can I bake it, scrape and freeze the squash? Or can I freeze the squash unbaked? Or do I just suck it up and try to use it during the week?

Thanks again!!!

Wow, it's never come up for me before. That's one of the few things we don't have left over since I've always cooked it and served 2. I think I would still bake it and save it that way. I can't see it doing very well unbaked and froze.

Your not making enough for left overs? (Here's where I confess to being a pig. I don't care how big it is, there wouldn't be any left over for the next day if I was eating half :D  )

Rarely has this been a problem around here! You should still bake the half and then freeze it in a freezer bag. Then steam it for about 5 minutes before using.

Thank you guys!! The kids won't touch it and DH is out for a business dinner. I probably could have it for lunch tomorrow but wanted to explore the idea of freezing just in case!:)

I may have done it wrong, but when I tried to freeze some, it defrosted to mush. :( I would say bake it and keep it in the fridge and find another use for it. It will stay wrapped tightly in the fridge for quite awhile.

The squash is baking in the oven as we speak... after looking closely at it I think I'll be able to use it up for lunch later this week. It was a big one so I thought no way would I use the whole thing up by myself!! Oh well!!
