I'm new to the board, and am wondering: How come when I post a reply, I can't see it? The topic always moves to the top of the list, and the time is correct, but I can't see it until much later (like the next day). I only stick around for about 15 minutes at a time, and I try to go to other topics and then back to the one I posted to, but I still can't see my reply. Thanks for your help!

I don't know, I see mine as soon as the board refreshes.

If you want to see the most recently added posts, you have to refresh while you are on the main board AND you may need to refresh each individual thread - kind of annoying, but only if you're like me and are constantly checking for new input http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif . You can refresh either by using your browsers refresh button or by right clicking with your mouse and then clicking on "refresh". Hope this helps!

"Refresh" works for me too. I have never had a problem with not seeing my posts.

Are you by any chance on AOL? That can be a problem with them.

I'm trying really hard to remember if I had that problem at home but I almost always read the board at work (because I have an older computer and an older browser and it's just not fond of the CL site) so I'm not sure.

I find that occasionally happens to me also, even though I do refresh the pages. I've found that if I go back to the top of the page and have the BB show topics from just one day, it will sometimes appear. I'm on AOL. Maybe it is an AOL thing.

This is not the place, but I used to have AOL at one time and got rid of them. I encountered more problems with them than I care to name. I call them "The Internet Mafia". Once you sign on with them, they try to keep a hold on you. Anyway, you can never erase their files completly. I actually had to do a "restore" on my computer to get them out (the local computer store suggested I do this). My computer is 3 years old and still has some aches and pains, but has been healthier since AOL went away.

Thanks for all the info. No, I'm not on AOL. I will try refresh after I post this and see if it works!
