I had three Dana Carpender LowCarb cookbooks and sold all of them at my garage sale a few months ago when I decided low carb wasn't working for me and weight loss surgery probably would.
There was one particular recipe that I absolutely loved and I didn't make a copy or write it down, because I thought for sure I'd remember it because it was so simple. Obviously I didn't take into consideration that I'm over 40 now and the memory ain't what it used to be. :o
I also can't remember if it is in the 500 LowCarb Recipes or the 15 Minute Recipes book. I also can't remember the exact name of the recipe. See?? The memory is gone! It's called something like Asian Punk's and it's in the snacks section. It's a recipe for pumpkin seeds and a few other seeds tossed with Soy Sauce, Splenda, and ground ginger. I actually mix raw pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, and add cayenne pepper to the mix before roasting in the oven. YUM. High protein, and very filling. For me right now after WLSurgery, high protein is the goal. I just can't remember the seed/liquid/spice ratio, and I don't want to wing it 'cause I had it perfect before.
Can anyone help? I'm sure I could probably find it at the bookstore, but I might look funny feverishly copying the recipe down on my contraband notebook at the store! :p Thanks for any assistance!!
