Does anyone know the shelflife of wild rice?Ihave a plastic jar that has been around since the pilgrims came over on the Mayflower. Really, it is about 10 years old. Looks fine. Can I still use it. Are there any guidlines ? Also canyou freeze wonton wrappers if you don't want to use the whole package. Thank you.

I'm not really sure what the shelflife of wild rice is but, since it is a grain instead of a true rice, I believe I would PASS on a package that is that old. (I just had some leftover cooked wild rice with beans for lunch this afternoon, after using part of what I cooked in the potato chowder recipe from the March issue of CL! - delicious!)
About the wonton wrappers, I am more certain. I freeze them all the time and they hold up nicely! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
