Being originally from Canada, I understand some British terms better than some of my American friends. I came across this recently - it will help for those who watch the show - or even for those planning a trip to England. I have only seen his program a couple of times, so I really don't know how popular it is or isn't.

At this point, The Naked Chef is my favorite show on the food network. Jamie makes everything look so easy. And he's cute too.

My daughter and I love Jamie and his show. We find him and his approach to cooking/baking simply delightful and unpretentious. He's definitely on our "must see" list.

I would love to watch this show - he's cute, he's funny, and I agree, unpretentious. I just can't stand the stupid camera moving around like it does! It literally makes me nauseous. I always have to turn it away, and it makes me sooo mad. I wish they would just leave the darn thing still!

I'm with Grace, his show is fun, but I've almost stopped watching. The camera work is also giving me motion sickness! Plus, the camera is literally, in his face, so much of the time.

Hi funnybone,
Is a "Quid" slang for a British pound?
Thanks,
Melina

Melina,

That's the approximate conversion factor for British pounds and U.S. dollars, so I imagine that "quid" is probably referring to a pound.

Thanks emilycat. I've heard Quid used in many British movies, but I was never sure of it's proper name.
