I am looking for others who are interested in forming a supper club in the Colorado Springs area, or, if a club already exists, I would like to consider joining in. Anybody out there? lauren

Hi,

I live in the Springs and am interested in starting a supper club, too. Have you heard from anyone else?

Hi Margit,

No, I have not heard from anyone else so I don't think there is a club out there in Colorado Springs. I am still interested, though, and could probably find a couple of other friends who are interested. I'm a mom with relatively young children, as are most of my friends at this point, so for now, any meetings for me would need to be rather kid friendly. Let me know if that would work for you or if you are looking for a different atmosphere. I just really enjoy cooking and eating great food, and think the best way to enjoy it is with others. Let me know your thoughts on trying to get something started. If the idea of having children around doesn't appeal to you I understand, but for me it's not optional. I hope to hear back.

Hi Lauren,

Thanks for the response. I am older than you and single, so it's probably not a good match. I'd be looking for people more my age.

Good luck!

One of my sisters and her family moved to the Springs last summer. At Christmas I mentioned seeing this post and she and her husband were interested. They love entertining and have a large house downtown. They have three young boys so family friendly stuff would be great for them, though they also like getting away to adults only stuff.

If you are still interested I'll get you in contact (she isn't a CL subscriber and is just getting back into email).

I got another of my sisters into a club and it's been great for she and her husband. Their club, in Lexington, KY, was even a finalist to be profiled in the magazine. So far no clubs for me in OR, but I move in the summer and am sure I can get something going where I'm returning to...

Julie,

I was pleased to get your message as my husband and I also live downtown, and yes, I am still interested. It's always good to connect with other parents of young ones in this area. We've got two girls and a five month old boy. We, too, like some time away, but don't get to do that as often as we should. In any event, I would definitely be interested in connecting up with your sister and her family, so let me know if she is interested. Thanks for the response.

Lauren,
Last year I tried to get involved in a Supper Club in the Springs, but it wasn't a great fit, so I'm thrilled to see other posts about a new Club. I'm young(er) and married, with no kids... yet. :) I would love to meet some new people and share the fun of cooking!

Deb :)
