I want to try a recipe which calls for this ingredient, but don't seem able to find it in the local grocery store. Can anyone tell me where I can get it?

I don't have any, so I can't tell you where I found mine, but I imagine that any natural/specialty store like Whole Foods would have it, and it's likely that a farmer's market would, as well.
I always just use dry sherry when a recipe calls for sherry vinegar -- I haven't had any disasters yet! (knock on wood http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif )

I got some very good sherry vinegar at a Spanish food web site: www.tienda.com (http://www.tienda.com) .

Cheers,

You can find Sherry Wine Vinegar at Williams Sonoma, or any high end gourmet market.

Thanks. I checked out the web site and it's fabulous. I was able to find it at Whole Foods and since I wanted to make the recipe right away that worked best for me.
