Okay, so my pookie(DH) and I have finally decided that we want a baby. With all the medical problems that I'm having the doctors have mentioned Clomid to help me out. Has anyone taken it? Does it make you crazy emotional like I've read?
If anyone has any advice it would most appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Theresa,
I don't have experience with it, but there has been lots of discussion about Clomid on the TTC (trying to conceive) thread (http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64193) on the Healthy Living part of this BB. A number of people have used it or are using it now. You might want to ask your question over there and/or join us in the TTC discussion, in general.
good luck to you and your DH.

I took Clomid for three cycles. Generally, yes for me it was pretty bad in terms of side effects, etc. Some people don't have that though. Feel free to PM me for more info....

I wrapped up my first round of Clomid on Saturday night, and I am now waiting to see if it worked and made me ovulate. I didn't have bad emotional side effects - I felt a little edgy, but that was all. I didn't feel too great physically - queasy, a little dizzy, definitely droopy. But only for the last two days. I think I got off easy. And I have heard that it can get worse the more cycles you go through with it. For me, though, it's nothing I can't handle, although YMMV...

My girlfriend used it and had no negative side effects whatsoever.
Theresa,
I took it for 6 months and had no bad side affects really, 1 month I had some cysts they noticed but they could have already been there and they were just noticed because of the tests they did.
The only real side affect I would say I had, was a baby girl...Nicole
Good Luck
Kim
