Baby Shower Recipe Ideas

I am hosting a baby shower dinner next weekend and need some good ideas for food. Being that it's dinner the standard salads etc won't work. And of course easy and make ahead is the key. Thanks for help in advance!

I'm also hosting a baby shower this week-end and would love some ideas. I'll check back from time-to-time to see if anyone comes up with anything good. We're having the usual mini sandwiches (chicken salad, tuna, etc.) but we're looking for some unique and interesting things that will look festive on the table.

Finally a thread I can contribute to! My mom has hosted MANY bridal and baby showers and she has a fruit dip recipe she always makes. It is a hit any season--refreshing in the hot months and a reminder of the summer tastes in the cooler months. Hope you enjoy. It makes a bunch so I cut up extra fruit and bring it for lunches during the next week.

Pina Colada Fruit Dip
3.5 oz instant coconut cream pie pudding mix
1/2 cup sour cream
8 oz can crushed pineapple, undrained
3/4 cup milk

Combine, cover and blend 30 seconds. Refrigerate overnight. Serve with stawberries, grapes, melons, pineapple. Toothpicks are best to dip the fruit with!
