I'm excited to make this for dinner tonight. However, I just looked at the recipe and noticed that it calls for boubon whiskey which I don't have. Is it okay to just leave it out or should I substitute something for it? Thanks much!

If you don't have bourbon, you could probably just add 2 tbs of apple juice. That would be better than just water or skipping it because the bourbon has a sweet taste to it.

Uh oh. I don't have apple juice. How about orange juice or vanilla extract? Thanks!

I'd leave it out then oj is too different. Not too sure on the vanilla but 2 tbs would be too much for sure

Thanks, Sneezles. Actually, I just searched for an alcohol substitution chart and found this:
For 2 tablespoons sherry or bourbon, substitute 1 to 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
I guess this could be okay. I hope I don't mess up this tasty pizza. It sounds so good!
