It's always fun to read the "swap" threads and see the neat stuff people are giving and receiving. There are so many postings every day, and then...the swap is over. I last participated about a year ago and I'm now rationing out the last of the wonderful "pearberry" scented hand cream gdnr77 sent me - I love this stuff. If I'm ever around Nottingham, New Hampshire, I'm going to Jenness Farm. Check out their home page, if nothing else for the shot of the kid with the kid. Thanks, Joan, if you're out there!

Wow that place looks great! I'll probably be placing an order shortly for hand creams. I wash my hands a lot at school, and they tend to get a little dry in the winter. (Yeah, that's my excuse. ;))

Canice, I had just finished my morning "routine", which I always end with applying some pearberry lotion to my hands, when I sat down and saw this thread. :D Too funny! I'm so glad you liked it so much. The goats milk products are a labor of love for Jenness Farm, and as a matter of fact, I'll be heading up there shortly to stock up for Christmas gifts. Another funny coincidence, Tuesday I used the last of the items you sent me, Earthwell Farm's Rosemary Salt...yum!

Jasmine-Rose sent me a small liquid measure from King Arthur. It's the size of a shot glass and measures teaspoons, tablespoons, and metric. I can't begin to imagine cooking without it, I probably use it several times a week-- thanks yet again, Elaine!
And, on the other hand, for "Swap gifts that Don't Live for Long" there was a delicious pumpkin pancake/ waffle mix that sunberst sent (I forget the brand, but it came in an adorable fabric sack).. It supposed to make many more servings than it actually did... or did we just eat a lot of it?? A very special Saturday morning, it was. Once more, Thanks Beth! :D
Edited to change something in my first paragraph above-- I realized that the original "use it a couple of times a week" was underestimating how often I really use this! Yes, "several times a week" is much more accurate...

I particularly like the calendar Eva sent me last year; I look at it every day and when I turn to a new month I get a little history/cultural lesson about a new city or part of Texas :)
BTW, October was the Chisos Mtns.

I love my Smith's Rosebud Salve that pinky sent me in a swap. Must track down a source for it here...
And the chilis and spices Beth sent me are enjoyed daily.
