I have made the turkey meat loaf on two occasions since receiving my March CL. Typically, I'm not a meatloaf person, but I'm singing a different tune now. It was SO YUMMY. Not to mention quick and easy. We all liked it so much I have moved it into the bi-weekly rotation.

Good tip. I have been mourning the passing of my old meatloaf recipe because dh and I gave up ground beef. His family's meatloaf recipe tastes lousy w/ ground turkey. But I'll try the CL version.

Leslie,

My husband didn't even realize it was ground turkey. That's how much flavor it has.

I made this recipe last night, but I broke all the rules and used ground beef instead of ground turkey (I tried to find but my store didn't have any). Even with ground beef, it was wonderfully tasty! I also added about 1/2 cup of shredded carrots and sliced green onions for a little color. Very good recipe! One of these days, I may even try it with turkey! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

We had this on Sunday and really enjoyed it. I couldn't help adding onions. Even though we enjoyed it very much, I am going to try it again and use tomato sauce instead of the ketsup, for an Italian flavor. Will let you know next week!
Someone's recommendation was for the combo of low 7% and very low 2%? ground turkey was wonderful! Really hate fatty meatloaves.
I apologize for not giving credit to that wonderful person, we truly hate to have the loaf doing backstroke in fat!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/eek.gif

I really love meatloaf, maybe I'll give this one a shot this weekend. Tonight I'm making (again) the Salisbury Steak from the Jan/Feb issue - it really went over well with my DH and my 2 year old.
