Odd topic for sure.......Bird owners?...................................

I am just curious, I did 'this' a few years back when I acquired or was about to acquire my African Grey and 'someone' gave me some very useful information and led me to a 'list' that I am still on. I have now since adopted/acquired a baby Double Yellow Headed Amazon, (Lola) she is now 6 months old.

My reason for this post - how are you all doing and what birds do you have? My CAG (Jacko) is absolutely incredible, Lola is starting to talk, but don't think they have the capabilities of a Grey.

I am sure there are many (if you cared to take a look at this post) who think I am right off my rocker - probably...........

I have had Cordel, a spoiled pied Cockatiel for 7 years now. He does not talk, but does this little song when he is in a good mood, called the happy song. He also clucks like a chicken when he wants to please me.

My roomie has Timmy, who is a white parakeet with a turquoise butt. He is a character and has a huge personality.

Congrats on your birds. Amazons and Greys are pretty neat. Greys are the best talkers and highly intelligent. I will try to post some pics soon.

I'm so glad to hear how well Jacko is doing, and congratulations on your new baby! You've picked two beautiful birds there. :)

Our Quaker, who is now 7 1/2, is doing great. Now that DH and I are both working full-time, Tuck doesn't get nearly as much attention from us as he used to, but we try to spend as much time with him as we can when we're home. And I continue to be amazed at his vocabulary. He picks up new words all the time and even learned (from DH) how to whistle. :)

Eva - it was you! Thank you so much - I remember your words and your recommendations re the Parrottalk list - I love that place, now am involved in both species. I have also recommended to so many bird friends, that list - so helpful. I wish I knew how to post pictures on this list - they are a riot - Jacko has an incredible vocabulary - albiet - swears a tad - but he is astounding - Lola is trying - she is so cute and so very young. Look forward to seeing your pics!
