I have just emerged battered but victorious from a battle with a roll of cruddy Walgreen's tape. Never again. So I'll add tape to my list:

Cotton swabs
Paper towels
Toilet paper
Plastic wrap

Saran Wrap

As far as small appliances are concerned, I used to say, "Never buy anything but General Electric." However, since they sold that division to Black & Decker, it hasn't been the same.

Kitty Liter!

It's funny, since I've started using Target's brand of garbage bags, saline solution, contact disinfecting solution, paper towels and toilet paper, I refuse to use anything else!

I have got to stop reading this BB while drinking something. :D

Canice, you crack me up. I was struggling with cheap saran wrap the other day and I swear by the time I finished I was red faced and sweaty.

So, here's my list:

Saran wrap
Tampons, if I needed them but I've been neutered ;)
Shoes. Ditto the unhappy feet.
Purses.
Perfume.
Raspberry jam
peppercorns
vanilla
meat

I know what Bethany means with the tampons. I bought Walgreens brand last, and they're ok but not as good as brand name. I won't make that mistake again. I have had the square ones.

I ditto the:
Saran wrap
Foil
Cotton swabs
Paper towels
Toilet paper
Sheets

I will add
Light bulbs (buying cheap ones and changing them 3 times in a year is NOT a savings)
Ziptop bags
Shampoo

Oh, I forgot that I agree with the cheap razors. OWWW! I only use the Venus razors now. My mom had those pink disposable razors...I have cut my legs to pieces with those things. I never get cut with the Venus razors.

I'm not sure that really qualifies as chocolate. I haven't even picked up one of their packages in somany years -- but I can imagine it saying in fine print somewhere "chocolate flavored" product.

Yep. Ask my DH about those cheap, nasty razors - he decided that in the true spirit of Ironman he was going to shave his legs. Add his inexperience in such things to the blades of these razors and you have an accident waiting to happen

DH adds that he won't buy cheap power tools, masking tape, or spray paint.

I stand by the non-cheap chocolate. Happily, I've never heard of Palmer's. I was thinking more Nestle, Hershey Bar, etc. in favor of Lindt, Scharfenberger, and some Cadbury products.

I agree with almost all these things (although I didn't know there were store brand tampons either). I'll add dish soap. Won't use anything but Dawn. Interesting thing about the vanilla. I, too, have been buying better quality vanilla because it just smells so much better to me. However, just recently I read in CI that taste testers could not tell the difference at all in baked goods between pure vanilla and cheap imitation vanilla extract. With the cost of vanilla what it is these days, I may go back to the cheap stuff for awhile.

I will say that the no-name and President's Choice brands available in Canada at Zehr's and Loblaws stores are great and I've never been disappointed. However no-name brands here - blech!

I send the Venus razor one! I tried a Schick Intuition this summer because I thought it would be easier, especially when we were camping. WRONG!

I'll also add to the list:

body and hand lotions
Potpourri
scented candles (we bought an off-brand that was just too overpowering - we finally threw it out)

Where do you think I saw it again? I can hardly walk by that section without the dry heaves. (I think it IS chocolate flavored...although I'm not sure how Hersheys gets away with calling theirs chocolate.)

I forgot about that Schick Intuition razor. I once scraped ALL the skin off my shin from ankle to knee with that thing. I threw it in the trash...along with the other two samples they sent me.

I guess I will also add...BREAD. I used to buy it cheap until I just decided that I want healthier stuff.

I'm another one who can buy cheap bras. Since nursing my 2 kids I've had to shop in the girl's section:o !
