Is oyster bisque the same as oyster stew? Our holiday tradition was to have oyster stew Christmas morning. It's one of my all-time favorite foods. I don't really have a recipe, I guess because it's so simple to make. I just simmer the oysters in butter, and after they're cooked and curl on the edges, I add whole milk, salt pepper, and some of the oyster liquid for more flavor. Heat (without boiling) and serve with oyster crackers.

The only oyster soup recipe I have is for a "malaysian" oyster soup. I wish I could help you out.:(
