I am not sure if anyone is interested but I thought I would post my porridge results so far. (I ordered from King Arthur.)

I was surprised at how filling it is. I couldn't eat all that I brought to work with me the first day. This doesn't happen to me very often http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I added blueberries the first time and a little skim milk (oh, and a little bit of salt). I ended up picking out the blueberries. Way too tart. This morning I had dried apricots with it and OHMYGOSH it was great.

Also, for you hypoglycemics, this stuck with me all morning. My tummy was growling at 11 but that was all! Usually by 10 I have to eat regardless if am I hungry!

I haven't been able to find any real nutritional info on porridge so if anyone has a suggestion where to look, I'd appreciate it!

As one of "those hypoglycemics", I always appreciate something that will stick with me! How much fiber and protein are in a serving? (If you dont mind)

Is this the Pampanoosic (sp???!!) one? I have been very interested in that and almost ordered it last time I ordered from KAF. Thanks for the great review, I too love dried apricots, and so I think I'll have to go ahead and order this next time! I'm becoming hooked on hot cereal in the morning. Used to be a toast girl, then I was a cold cereal girl (Kashi, etc.), and now, I'm completely hooked on steel-cut oats. Next is Pampanoosic porridge!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

I love hot cereal too. I never had porridge. Is it like cream of wheat or oatmeal? Can you get it in the grocery store. I don't think I ever saw it.

Kim: I requested the same info from King Arthur when it wasn't listed on the package. Here is what they sent me.
Oat berries, white wheat berries, red wheat berries, malted wheat flakes, white wheat bulgur, hulled millet. Store cool & dry six months. Per 45g serv(about 1/4 cup), 160 calories, 1.5g fat, 0mg cholesterol, 0mg sodium, 33g carbohydrates, 6g protein
4g dietary fiber.

Their response time was fast, too. I have been very happy with my purchases.

Grace, no, it's the multi gran. I'd be interested in hearing about the P.... tho'.

Tiger, the consistency is not like C of W nor oatmeal. Alot more texture.... the ingredients don't really break down. I was thinking that if I didn't get used to the texture I would send it around in the food processor a few pulses, but I have come to enjoy it the way it is. I haven't seen it in a grocery.
