Pepper, coriander, sesame salmon - apricot nectar?

Hi everyone,

Just had a question about this dish. What is apricot nectar? Can I use apricot jelly or jam? Did you use this topping and is it good?

you can find apricot nector in the juice isle of your grocery store... it is a juice.. thin not thick like jams

Apricot nectar is basically apricot juice. It comes in a can (usually) in the juice aisle. I haven't made this recipe, so I can't comment on the taste, but off the top of my head, I wouldn't substitute the jam or jelly. It would be like substituting grape jelly for grape juice (although I guess it's possible!). And I LOVE apricot nectar - it's one of my favorite juices of all time, but I don't drink it often because of the high calories. It's great mixed with diet seven-up or seltzer water too. Or to make a float.

This is one of the best salmon recipes I have made. I used to make the Maple glazed salmon all the time (3/00). I have made the one with apricot nectar three times already.

I totally cheated on this recipe! I don't really like apricot and wasn't thrilled about buying the necter, so I did subsituted mango chutney instead. I still really liked this recipe, but mainly for the delicious crust.

You can find Apricot nectar in smaller containers in the latin isle of your grocery store where GOYA products are sold.

We didn't have apricot nectar at our grocery store, so I substituted apple juice. Don't know how it should have tasted but we really loved it!!! It is a repeater for us!!
