Do you sub Z-Trim Gel for butter, margarine, canola oil, etc? If you could give more info, that would be great!

I've been using it to extend full-fat salad dressings, and as a fat (butter, oil, margarine) replacement in baking. For instance, if a cookie recipe calls for a stick and a half of butter (12 tablespoons), I use 1 stick of butter and 4 tablespoons of Z-Trim. This eliminates 400 calories from the recipe without changing the taste or texture. I've also had success using Z-Trim for half of the butter rather than just a third. This has worked the best with oatmeal cookies and molasses cookies -- cookies where spices (rather than butter) are the predominant flavors.

They have a bunch of recipes posted on their web site. Here's the link to that:

This will give you a good idea of how you might use Z-Trim.

I'm actually ordering it directly from the company (they're very speedy in their delivery!) and need to order more. Here is the link.

Along with the Z-trim, they'll send you a cook book and a little DVD showing how to use it.

And one more great use for it -- Ice Cream! I made a batch of peanut butter ice cream using 1/2 cup of Z-Trim instead of cream and knocked off about 360 calories without sacrificing smooth ice cream texture.
