Does anyone out there have a fool-proof recipe/method for making dishes with dried beans? Maybe I'm doing something terribly wrong, but each time I try to work with any dried bean it just ends up a disaster. I don't know if I'm not soaking them long enough or what, but I could use any and all suggestions/directions/recommendations.

This sounds like a question for Phoebe, Bean Queen! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
I use my pressure cooker to cook dried beans (it's much faster, and I don't need to soak them), although I don't use them as much as I should!

Here you go: I ran off a copy of Phoebe's advice on this thread -- it has a permanent place on my bar for reference http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif And her method works wonderfully, by the way!

Thanks emilycat! I'm going to try out Phoebe's excellent instructions this weekend.
