On this day 49 years ago, Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat to a white person. This was one of the defining moments of the civil rights struggle and for me, Rosa Parks continues to be an example of how one person's actions can inspire change.

Thanks, Rosa!

Thanks, Jessica.

The impact of that simple act still amazes me.

Thanks for the reminder Jessica. I'll surely think about it on my bus ride home today.

Way to go, Rosa. Not only did she affect a change for civil rights, she also was a woman who dared stand up (or sit down, as it were) for injustice. My hat is off to her. :)
