Chefbec, I read on another thread that you're a Pampered Chef rep. I need some ideas for the PC cooking stone (I have the rectangular one. The rep at the party made this great mushroom thing -- I think it was crescent rolls rolled out with mushrooms and butter on it (we kept making her add more garlic)! Naturally, I lost the recipe. What are some other things to make on it? Are you supposed to preheat it and then put the food on it; or put the food on it cold? Couldn't resist the opportunity to pick your brain! Thanks!

I hope you don't mind me butting in as I have that "bar pan" from PC. You are not supposed to heat it up, but rather put it in the hot oven with the food already on it. I use mine for all kinds of foods - baked chicken breasts and other meats, anything I need a larger pan for. I love mine

I preheat my stone for pizza and breads, but when I make other stuff, I just use it cold. PC sells a cookbook with recipes specifically made for the stone, but I mostly use mine for frozen french fries, frozen fish sticks, pizza, homemade breads (pita, naan, etc.). It's supposed to be good for cookies, although I have never tried it. I would like to see what else Chef Bec comes up with too! Have fun with your stone. I LOVE mine.

BarbaraL: I also have the PC bar pan. I use it for lots of stuff, but what I really like it for is bacon. Just put bacon in the pan and put it in the oven. I usually have a fairly hot oven - 375º. You can forget about it and cook the rest of the breakfast.
