At work we're doing a holiday treat exchange and the woman I'm treating has a diabetic husband.

I'd really like to include something he can enjoy and have been racking my brain.

I make CL's Festive Olives every year and people seem to like those but I need some other ideas.

I really don't want to tempt him with death balls or almond roca :D

Thanks for asking this question. I don't have any diabetics that I need to consider, but I would like to give some non-sweet gifts this year, too. These threads will give me some ideas to consider.

Another idea might be a loaf of homemade bread or rolls, sweet or not. Most people LOVE homemade bread of any kind and consider it a real treat.

Spiced Nuts are good. Or a loaf of bread (or really anything) that’s made with Splenda. (They can’t eat a ton of carbs, but some should be okay.) Just be careful what some of the main ingredients are.....when my diabetic mom was staying with me for a few days I made Holiday Chicken Salad from allrecipes not even thinking twice that it’s made with dried cranberries which are too sweet for her. The olives are a great idea; my mom loves olives, especially types stuffed with jalapenos. Along similar lines, I don’t suppose you have any canned salsa?
