A couple years ago, Haagen-Dazs discontinued what was in my opinion the best frozen dessert I had ever tasted. It was a "vanilla sorbet." I tried to devise a recipe myself with the nutrient and ingredient panel. I got close, but never got the volume or sweetness right. It includes only water, sugar, corn syrup solids (which I ordered and used), egg whites vanilla, fruit pectin and salt. The egg whites I suppose contributed to its white color. It had 120 calories in 1/2 cup (4 oz.).

Does anyone here have another similar recipe? I was looking for some type of vanilla flavored dessert without the milky flavor of ice cream, ice milk or yogurt.

Hello! I search many web sites and could not find the vanilla sorbet. All recipes had fruit in it. I did find the tittle of a book (enclosed) Maybe you can brouse through it and see if your bookstore has it and it has the recipe...good luck!
