I went into our local Tuesday Morning store, and found some great cookbooks.

Admittedly, most were not so great, but they had "The Babbo Cookbook" by Mario Batali, the "Classic Pasta Cookbook" by Giuliano Hazan, and "The Pasta Bible" (won a James Beard cookbook award).

Prices were much better (12-17 or so dollars US) than I've seen for places like half.com, so I snapped up some of them. (Need to go back for the Babbo book, though, I'd forgotten it was on my list)

The "Classic Pasta Cookbook" by Giuliano Hazan is one of my favourite cookbooks, every recipe turns out well and the directions are super easy to follow.

Thanks for the review of the Hazan book, it was less than ten dollars (I reviewed the receipt since my initial post), so I couldn't resist.

I went on half.com and was SHOCKED at the prices they're asking, so this little bargain was the only way I'd be getting a copy, lol.

I've bought a few books at Tuesday Morning -- mostly in the $5-10 range. They were great finds.

I love, love, love that store! I guess it is the bargain shopper in me. Anyhow, I have made some great cookbook finds there as well.
