View Full Version : Anyone make the Meringue Streusel Topped Sweet Potatoes or the Carrot Coins (12/04)?

Im going to a Christmas dinner, casual......and looking for great side dishes to bring. These caught my eye in the latest CL, but there are no reviews on them.


Has anyone made these yet??

I made the carrot coins and really enjoyed them. I did increase the balsamic to a tablespoon - it just tasted better to me.

I made the Carrot Coins as well. DH and I both enjoyed them. I didn't increase the vinegar, but might next time! Enjoy.

I seem to remember another thread in addition to this one that reviewed them as well. This is so tough to find with the search function (which is why I think there were already two reviews) and the second one is no where to be seen....

Thanks for the link! Seems some thought it was very sweet, and the meringue was overkill. So think Ill leave it off.......

I made the Carrot Coins this weekend for a party. I thought they were good but a bit on the peppery side for our tastes. The children wouldn't eat them because of the pepper. Next time I will decrease the pepper and perhaps increase the balsamic vinegar as suggested.
