I want to do a Movie Night gift basket for a family. the kids are 12(boy) and 14 (girl). Any suggestions for a DVD or video? I'm thinking of Pirates of the Caribbean. The kids have braces so I can't do popcorn. I'll do a little candy, but what else to put in it? As you can see, I'm a little late getting going on this one!

Boys and girls that age may have different likes in movies. One movie my kids (boys) really liked and it just came out, is DODGEBALL. I'd be more inclined to get a blockbuster gift card so they can rent what they like. Just my opinion.
Instead of popcorn, you could put in some Chex Mix or other paty mix. Some pretzels. If this will be used in the cold, what about hot cocoa? Seeing my kids on the sofa right now -- a fleece throw or lap blanket.
Trying to get video suggestions from my guys -- not getting much help. We enjoyed Princess Diaries 2 and The Prince and Me, but the guy probably won't want to think he will like them. Of those two, I would say the Prince and Me. Everything else they have rented recently has been an older movie.
You could always do a rental gift card. If you want something more in the basket, Walmart has some old movies and old TV series that are $1. You could put one or two of those in there just for fun and still give a rental gift card.

Even if you aren't giving popcorn I'd make the "basket" be a big popcorn bowl.

Thanks for the great ideas. I found some fleece blankets on sale at Walgreen's. Then at the thrift store I found a big basket that already had Christmas decorations on it. Off to Blockbuster for a gift card, and they have holiday covers to put over the popcorn tubs. I got chips, salsa, chex mix and some movie candy that all fits in the tub. I also have some "Snowman Soup" that I will include since the high today is 5 degrees!! It was pretty easy.
