Hey All-Will be seeing my cousin Caroline next week, and (bad me) have yet to pick up a gift for her. Was thinking about this canyon river sweater with broach-very cute on sears.com-what do you all think? Broaches and pink are very in-so I think she'd like it-and still within my price range. I'll probably just pick it up through there in store pickup at the store too-so I don't have to worry about shipping.

If you know her well enough to know her taste is clothes, I think it looks like a great idea. If not, I'd probably go with something from Bath and Body works.

good alternative-but yeah, I've grown up with her, so a sweater shouldn't be a prob-besides she's one of those "girly girls" so it seems pretty feminine too.

Greatcook -- The teenage girls I know are fondest of money and/or gift certificates. If you've ever been shopping with a teenage girl, there are imperceptible details which they discern which makes one top fabulous and another out of the question.
No teenager I know feels that money/gift certificates are in bad taste.
Another benefit is that one can really take advantage of after Christmas markdowns.

Do you know how she feels about synthetic materials? I know some teenaged girls who are incredibly picky about wearing only natural materials (but then they chow down on Cheetos and Mountain Dew. ). It is a cute sweater, very girly and fun... but the polyester thing would worry me.

appreciate the thoughts all-actually ended up getting her a conair makeup mirror-for putting on her make up in the morning. As we know a staple for getting ready in the early hours;)
