I just got MasterCook Cooking Light, and am still trying to figure out all the features.

I'm wondering if you can get CL recipes to add (sort of like the yearbook) on CD-ROM. Past and current would be great.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and where I would get it?

Thanks.

Shirley,

I don't think you can get the yearbooks in CD-ROM. It would be nice though. Maybe this question could be addressed to the CL editors.

There were posts about this on the old board. I think you can buy a monthly download of recipes to update the program, but it costs $6-7 for each month. Look in the CL store on the home page for more information. I agree with Sue that a annual update would be nice, especially since they should be able to do a whole year on CD-Rom for less than the monthly cost.

Thanks, Beth.

I checked www.cookn.com (http://www.cookn.com) - they sell the CookWare software. You can get all the recipes from each issue for about $7 (each).

Mamasue -

They do have a CD-ROM with 1997 recipes (870 of them for $24.50), but I think I have most of those in the software that came with it.

Good idea to talk w/CL editors about bundling the recipes and selling it on CD-ROM (or whatever digital format).

Thanks Shirley! I have CL Mastercook and it has 1996, 1997 and 1998 cookbook collections. I am hoping that those come from the annual books.
